"I'll never be a positive thinker."
Have you ever felt like your thoughts are overwhelmingly negative?
Somehow, they automatically go to worst-case & then the downward spiral starts into shame, blame, & self-hate.
It can get reaaaaal reeeeaalllll bad.
Legitimately, it makes us feel like our life is out of our control.
Like we are a victim of our self-defeating thoughts.
When we know they are there, we try really damn hard.
If you’re like me, I know you’ve tried.
Here are some methods that didn’t work long-term for me:
Positive affirmations.
Law of Attraction.
Journaling.
Trying to stop thinking at all.
They worked some of the time, but it was short-term relief.
I know for you; it’s not for lack of trying.
New science has emerged that our neural pathways & our nervous system (the things that are informing our thoughts) are actually AGILE - NOT RIGID.
Which means, they can be changed.
This is a major shift because what it means is that we can actually do things to change them internally, from the root & at the core.
Over time, our thoughts can be self-fulfilling & self-honoring thoughts.
They can elicit joy & happiness & connection.
Consider:
Are your first thoughts mostly self-defeating?
Where do those thoughts eventually take you?
Do you feel like your thoughts are running your life?
Where do you think those thoughts are actually coming from?
In big love,
