The legacy you leave is the example you are setting right now.
Do you ever feel like you want to influence your kids & the younger generation so they don’t grow up with all of the emotional baggage older generations leave behind?
We want better for our kids & the next generation.
We want them to have a better life, to have an easier time than we did.
We feel deeply that we want to leave a legacy & for them to feel loved & accepted.
In the past, emotional baggage was seen as bad, was swept under the rug, or was deemed unimportant.
This has taught us to be emotionally immature.
We find it hard to deal with life’s ups & downs; feeling like it’s a roller coaster of really high high’s & really low low’s.
We also find it hard to be in a healthy relationship because intimacy is hard, even though we might want it badly.
Recent studies about epigenetics & somatics have shown that not only is emotional baggage passed down to our kids but it is also stored in our bodies until it is healed & processed.
The most important revelation, imo, is that you are not doomed, nor are your kids.
In fact, it’s never too late for our brains & our bodies to heal.
You & the next generation are not a lost cause.
The first step is to be the example that you’ve always wanted to be.
Like on a plane, you must put on the oxygen mask before you put it on your child.
The same idea applies here.
The legacy you leave is the example you are setting at this very moment.
You can heal your emotional trauma so that you can help your kids & the younger generation thrive & have healthy relationships.
Consider:
Do you feel like you have emotional baggage?
If you were to heal it, what would your relationship with your kids be like?
What is your deepest motivation for your life right now?
In big love,
💗Lilli
