Self-compassion is your superpower.
How do I create self-compassion?
Self-compassion is a hard thing to cultivate after years and years of really being hard on yourself.
Negative thoughts can get really bad.
And, sometimes, we don’t know how to get rid of them or control them.
We get really stuck when we know we have negative thoughts that aren’t good for us, but still can’t seem to feel better about ourselves.
It’s frustrating because we try really hard to make our lives better.
Self-compassion is not just affirmations or a gratitude practice - that’s old news.
Self-compassion is a feeling - a wholeness - that we feel from the inside out.
It’s a self-love that’s so bold, and so brave, and so powerful that you can taste it.
In the past, self-compassion was seen as “selfish.”
In fact, we know now that you make sense.
Self-compassion has never been a safe feeling to feel because you’ve always been in protective mode.
Now, we know that the way to create self-compassion is to bring your whole body on board. (You know it isn’t when you know what to do & how you’re “supposed” to feel but really don’t feel that way.)
It’s not you. It’s your nervous system.
As your nervous system heals, you begin to open up space for love - for yourself & from others.
Love is big & bold & expansive.
And so are you.
In big love,
